The Worship Arts Ministry of Waxhaw Bible Church is centered in the worship of God. We believe that our focus should be on our awesome God and His faithful provision in our lives as His children. And when we come together as a body, His praise is on our lips. “Sing to the Lord a new song, His praise in the assembly of the saints.” Psalm 149:1
We also believe that music can be used to encourage and challenge our faith. “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.” Colossians 3:16
For many of us, music touches our hearts deeply, and is a fantastic way to express our struggles and triumphs, joys and sorrows, where we've been and where we hope to be heading. For this reason, our musical selections at WBC reflect a variety of styles and experiences.

INSTRUMENTAL JAM SESSION
Our first Fall Friday for 2009 will include a jam session. So, plan to join us. Bring some food for the fellowship dinner at 6:30 PM, and don't forget your musical instruments!
Hosted on an occasional basis, anyone is welcome to join us as we gather to play and sing and fellowship around a laid-back evening filled with a wide variety of music. Try out a new instrument or stick with an old favorite. Come and join us for a time of music and fellowship (we will have a time of eating; please bring some finger food to share).
FALL FRIDAYS Join us this fall for our monthly Friday night fellowship events for the whole church (at the church facility). Each evening will begin with a potluck dinner (please bring at least 2 dishes to share) at 6:30 PM. Details regarding Fall Fridays for 2009 are listed under calendar events! The dates are September 18, October 31, November 18.
CHRISTMAS IN THE ROUND
This is our annual church-wide celebration of the Lord's incarnation. We share together as members of the WBC body present musical numbers, readings, dance, drama and other ways to focus our celebration on God's love for us, expressed at Christmas. Gathered around round tables in fellowship and delicious food, we rejoice in the season together.
If you are interested in participating in the program, please contact our worship arts director. Auditions or approval are required.
Christmas in the Round is held the second weekend of December, with dress rehearsal on Friday evening and two shows on Saturday. Tickets are required to attend, but they are free and will be available at WBC in November.
