The Axmans began their missionary service in 1969 with the Far East Broadcasting Co. in Japan. Later,
they served with World Radio Missionary Fellowship, Wycliffe Bible Translators and HCJB Radio. They have served in Japan, Korea, Papua New Guinea, Waxhaw and Indiana, including several trips to other parts of the world.
Mike has helped supervise the construction of a high-power radio station. He's maintained equipment used by Bible translators. In recent years, he's been designing radio transmitters for HCJB's use all over the world.
Mike's skills have helped broadcast the gospel to mainland China, Japan, North Korea, Siberian Russia, Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. They have seen Christian radio stations established in many formerly closed countries in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. They are especially excited to see doors opening in Muslim areas.
Faith is active in their church, MOPS, Happy Day Clubs, and Friendship Bible Coffees. They have 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren.
